The head of the Office of the National Chairman of the NRM, SPA Ms. Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has discussed areas of strengthened cooperation with government Chief Whip, Hamson Obua.

Ms Hadijah and Obua held the talks on the sidelines of the President Yoweri Museveni Acholi sub region tour. The meeting happened at Kaunda Grounds in Gulu City, Northern Uganda.

The president completed a two-day tour of the region on Friday. He is expected to tour other parts of the country in the coming months. The tours are aimed at taking stock of his promises and progress of the implementation.

According to Ibrahim Kitatta, the ONC spokesperson, Ms. Hadijah and Obua want to strengthen already existing relations to ensure swift implementation of the ruling NRM manifesto.

The ONC recently flagged off a team of regional coordinators to monitor implementation of government programs like Parish Development Model and Emyooga.

In his address at Kaunda Grounds, President Museveni emphasised wealth creation.

“This approach should be boosted by the Parish Development Module under which each parish in the country gets a total of 100 million per year,” President Museveni said.

He also promised to address concerns raised by locals about the implementation process.
