Death Toll in Kasese Landslide rises to 10

The Uganda Red Cross is reporting that the death toll in the Kasese District landslide has risen to 10.

It also adds that 18 people are still missing from the landslide that happened at Kasika, Rukoki sub county.

The Red Cross spokesperson says they are working with local authorities to try and recover those missing.

Reports indicate that the landslide happened following a heavy downpour in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
