Museveni expected in Soroti Next Week

The Vice President,Jessica Alupo, has rallied the people of Soroti City to put aside their political and tribal differences and emphasise the socio-economic transformation of their society.

“Let this election bring us together, let us continue on the path of socioeconomic transformation and services for our people, and let Soroti be known for its foresight as we head to the polls,” Alupo said.

Alupo made the remarks while campaigning for NRM flagbearer, Herbert Edmund Ariko, in Otatai, Acetgwen, and Opiai Wards, all in Soroti City East.

She was accompanied by several ministers and members of Parliament, including ;General Jeje Odong, Musa Echweru, Asamo Helen, Adoa Helen, Okasai Opolot, and Hon. Akello Lilly, among others.

She urged Teso residents to vote for leaders who will lobby and advocate for better services.

“The people of Teso should vote for leaders with lobbying capabilities that will link them to the government for better service delivery,” she noted.

Ariko assured the Teso sub-region leaders that his results-oriented servant leadership style will undoubtedly unite and serve the people of Soroti City East.

The director of mobilization, Rosemary Sseninde, urged the people to vote for the NRM candidate to ensure that government programs are implemented in Soroti City.

“On the 28th, vote for a member of Parliament with leadership capabilities to advocate for better services for our people,” she said.

President Museveni, is on Monday, July 25th expected in Soroti City, where he will canvass support for the party flagbearer.
