Uganda Cranes Head Coach, Milutin Sredojevic Micho is counting on the four-day residential camp in Tunisia to boost preparations for the Cranes’ game against Algeria.

Uganda Cranes is preparing for their Total Energies African Cup of Nations Qualifiers’ opener against Algeria on June 4.

The team has been residing at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi for a week, but on Saturday, they traveled to Tunisia for a four-day camp before finally landing in Oran for the AFCON Qualifier clash with Algeria on 4th June 2022.

Coach Micho believes the residential camp in Tunisia will help the technical bench to polish the competitiveness of the players before they face off with Algeria.

Before traveling, the team was reduced to only seventeen players.

The England-based trio includes, Ibra Sekajja who plays for Dulwich Harmlet FC, Odokonyero Nathan who plays for Bognor Regis FC, and Tirhys Luknyomoi of AFC Port Chester FC were part of the players who failed to cut the cross.

Micho said he was impressed by the commitment of the trio although the players were never part of the final squad, adding that, the technical bench will continue monitoring them as they push to enroll them through the national team ranks.

The Cranes have been grouped with Algeria, Niger, and Tanzania.
