The Ethiopian government has expressed solidarity with Uganda following Tuesday’s twin bomb blasts that left six people dead and 33 nursing wounds.
In a statement posted on the Ethiopian Foreign Affairs socials media pages, the Addis Ababa government says it condemns in the strongest terms possible, the attacks in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
“The Government of Ethiopia condemns these cowardly acts in the the strongest terms while expressing solidarity with the people and Republic of Uganda,” the statement says in part.
It adds that the government of Ethiopia hopes the attacks will not deter Kampala’s reaolve in fighting terrorism.
The two nations are part of the countries that contributed forces to combat terrorism in Somalia.
Tuesday’s attacks have been blamed on rebel group, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which operates from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
