Opposition kingpin, Kizza Besigye on Thursday joined a group of opposition parties to launch a new campaign he hopes will send the ruling NRM packing.
The Peoples Front for Transition campaign dubbed “Twetaase,” was launched together with 11 opposition parties.
Besigye has been selected to lead the campaign.
“We have three weeks to prepare for a grand reset of Uganda that will see president Museveni out of power. Starting today, they must know their time is out,” Besigye, a four time presidential candidate said at the launch.
Conspicuously missing was the National Unity Platform (NUP) party, led by Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
There is no word from NUP about why they opted out of the new movement.
“Twetaase” joins a long list of campaigns Besigye has been part of in the past in his attempts to remove President Yoweri Museveni from power.
