Excitement In Entebbe & UAE As Uganda Airlines Makes Maiden Dubai Flight

Uganda Airlines Maiden Flight to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, was greeted with delight by officials in both Uganda and the Arab nation.

Dubai Airports’ Deputy CEO spoke of delight as the A330-800 Flight from Entebbe International Airport, kissed the Dubai International Airport tarmac on Monday.

“We’re delighted to welcome Uganda Airlines as a new carrier at DXB, with three flights per week between Entebbe and Dubai onboard an A330-800,” Dubai Airports said on its social media platforms.

To mark the launch, Dubai Airports’ Deputy CEO, Jamal Al Hai, met with the airline’s Acting CEO, Jenifer Bamuturaki, as well as H.E. Abdalla Hassan Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the UAE in Uganda, H.E. Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador to Uganda in the UAE and Tom Butime, Minister for Tourism in Uganda.

Excited passengers who made the maiden flight to Dubai aboard Uganda Airlines

Dubai is a popular destination with Ugandan travellers who go there for both business and leisure.

Uganda Airlines Acting CEO said travellers with the airline should expect nothing but the best.

Monday’s flight flagged off by the state minister for Transport, Fred Byamukama, departed with 81 passengers – 76 in economy, 5 in business class.
