15 Police Officers To Represent Uganda Police In South Sudan

At least 15 police officers shall represent the Uganda Police Force in various assignments serving on contract for one year under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

This was revealed by the deputy director operations John Nuwagira while meeting and briefing the officers who successfully completed the requirements for UN deployment to South Sudan.

He said the last batch of the officers shall leave for South Sudan on August 31 2021.

While in South Sudan, he said these officers shall participate as experts in several fields including training, community policing, gender, Criminal Investigations Department (CID), operations among others.

The director and the team from Interpol shared their experiences on missions with these officers and implored them to successfully represent Uganda and the Police force with integrity and patriotism.
