1 Mins read

The Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Grace Akullo, has told most of her work force to stay home over COVID19.

Uganda is battling a deadly second wave that has forced many government departments to downsize on their employees showing up for work.

“Due to the prevailing situation of the Covid-19 (corona) pandemic, CID management has resolved to sanitize the CID headquarters starting 17/06/2021 to 20/06/2021. Staff under you shall be on call. We shall have the Director, Deputy Directors, Heads of Department/units and registry staff to come for work,” reads the Memo from Akullo to saff.

Today, President Yoweri Museveni is set to address the nation on the COVID19 situation.

Museveni is expected to put in place more stringent measures to control the spread of the disease.
