The Bishop of Church of Uganda, North Kigezi diocese, Rt Rev Benon Magezi is dead, Ug Mirror reports.
He died a week after he tested positive for COVID-19 before he was admitted at Mbarara regional referral hospital.

“Just got the shocking news of the passing of COU Bishop of North Kigezi, Rt Rev Benon Magezi.
Sooo sad but I believe he’s in the arms of the Lord. Heartfelt sympathy to his dear wife Gladys and the family; the diocese and people of Kigezi & all dear friends. RIP,” Tweeted Dr Besigye.
