MPs To Get COVID-19 Jabs This Week

The Speaker of Parliament has informed lawmakers that they will be getting their COVID19 vaccinations on Thursday and Friday.

Speaker Rebecca Kadaga made the announcement during plenary on Tuesday saying the vaccination will also cover new MPs and parliament staff.

Uganda embarked on immunising its citizens, starting with frontline health workers, on Wednesday after receiving 964,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine through donations. 

On Tuesday, the Uganda Prisons Boss, Johnson Byabashaija also launched the vaccinations in the institution by taking his jabs
