Minister Tumwebaze Shares Stella Nyanzi Post In Which She Says Museveni Better Dictator Than Bobi Wine

1 Mins read

The Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Frank Tumwebaze has urged Ugandans to always test the credentials of apsiring leaders.

Tumwebaze said this in a tweet in which he shared a Facebook screen shot of President Yoweri Museveni’s critic, Stella Nyanzi who posted on her Facebook that the president is a better dictator than his new political nemesis Bobi Wine.

Nyanzi who is holed up in Kenya where she fled, posted, “Between Dictator Museveni and Dictator Kyagulanyi, I know that the old man imprisoned me, but he never got my posts criticising him removed from Facebook. Who is a worse dictator even when out of power?”

Reacting to this, Tumwebaze tweeted, “Unlike many opposition folks who follow the dogma of only being anti-M7 & @NRMOnline , @drstellanyanzi rejects this . Hers is called “Erga omnes” ( towards all). Apply the same litmus paper to whoever aspires to lead. Very logical i guess ? Wait now & see the insults on her…”

Nyanzi’s post came after she received a warning from Facebook not to violate it’s policies. She has been posting poems critical of Bobi Wine in the past week.

The former Makerere University scholar who lost her bid to become Kampala Woman MP to Shamim Malende of Bobi Wine’s NUP party, recently fled to Kenya saying she feared for her life.

Last year, she was released from prison after her 18-month sentence for insulting Uganda’s president was quashed.
