Nxt Radion General Manager Marcus Kwikiriza has called it quits ending years of working with the Next Media station.

Marcus announced his exit on Friday saying the decision followed many failed attempts to quit radio that he loves so dearly.

“After many amazing years on morning radio, trying several times to quit, and failing because of my love for it, it’s time for me to finally hang up the MIC,” Marcus tweeted.

His resignation comes on the heels of reports that he could replace Robert Kabushenga who resigned as Vision Group Chief Executive Officer, a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to his resignation, Kabushenga had been at the helm of Vision Group for 14 years.

Although he did not give any indication about his next stop, Marcus boasts of a rich career behind both the camera and mic.

He worked at Radio 10 and Flash FM (Programme director) in Rwanda before joining Kenya’s where Radio Classic FM (Drive show) and Nation FM/Easy FM (Breakfast show).

Marcus did a basketball show on Zuku TV, hosted the Stanbic Schools Championship on NTV and has been a co-host of NBS’s weekly lifestyle show Another Round which he hosts with Gaetano.
