NUP: 5 Of Our Supporters Have Been Shot Dead In Nakifuma

National Unity Platform has said that Police has shot dead 5 of its supporters in Nakifuma, Mukono district.

“Just after our campaign meeting in Nakifuma earlier this morning, police has fired live bullets to our supporters leaving five of them dead. Many have succumbed to serious injuries when police trucks drove and knocked them down,” reads the tweet NUP official Twitter handle.

Despite the shooting incident, Bobi Wine thanked the people of Nakifuma for turning up in large numbers.

“Thank you, people, of Nakifuma and neighbouring areas for the overwhelming love and support. We do not take this for granted! It is this kind of support that is giving the dictatorship sleepless nights. Ours is a mission to FREEDOM,” Bobi Wine Posted on Facebook.
