Yesterday, President Museveni officially started campaigning officially ahead of 2021 general elections.
The president who was in a joyous mood accompanied by the First Lady, Janet Museveni, started their campaign from Kawumu Presidential Demonstration Farm in Luweero District.
“Launched our official nation-wide campaigns at Kawumu Presidential Demonstration Farm in Luweero District. Later today, I will make a media address articulating the NRM campaign agenda,” said Museveni in a Facebook post.
Museveni later talked to Ugandans via TVs and Radio as detailed NRM’s plan to #SecurungYourFuture.
Museveni encouraged all Ugandans to stay safe in these campaigns such that they can avoid COVID-19
“Meanwhile, I take this opportunity to call upon our supporters to stay home, stay safe, the NRM message will reach you. I would like to disabuse you of your intention to want to show our might and numbers by lining on streets. There is no need for excitement, let us keep calm at home and sow the NRM message,” said the president.
Meanwhile the Luwero people were entertained by singers like Bebe Cool, Catherine Kusasira, Ronald Mayinja, Big Eye and other traditional dancers.
