Ministry of Internal Affairs Closed For Two Days

1 Mins read

The Ministry of Internal Affairs headquarters will remain closed to the public for two days, the spokesperson of the Ministry Jacob Siminyu announced on Monday.

“This is due to some administrative procedures which will take place in those two days and will significantly affect service delivery,” he noted in a statement.

Siminyu however said other offices across the country will remain open, with normal operations at the headquarters to resume on Thursday 22nd October.

According to Siminyu some of the services that will be affected include issuance of the passports, work permits among others.

In May this year, the ministry’s headquarters located along Jinja Road in Kampala were closed for some time to allow disinfecting of the premises after some of the staff tested positive for COVID-19.
