JUST IN! NBS Chief News Editor Joyce Bagala Resigns, Joins Politics on NUP Ticket

Joyce Bagala the Chief News Editor at Next Media Services has resigned her job in a bid to join elective politics, this website has learnt.

Bagala who has also been one of the best news anchors at the station tendered her resignation in preparation for active politics which she intends to join in the upcoming general elections under the National Unity Party (NUP) ticket.

Joyce Bagala will be contesting for the Mityana Woman MP seat, a seat that is occupied by ruling National Resistance Movement – NRM’s Judith Nabakooba.

News anchor Dalton Kaweesa has since been appointed Chief News Editor in Acting role according to a tweet published by Canary Mugume early this morning.

“Just in: Joyce Bagala has resigned her job as Chief News Editor at Next Media services to participate in elective politics. Joyce will be contesting on NUP ticket, against NRM’s Judith Nabakooba for Mityana Woman MP. @DaltonKaweesa is the new Chief News Editor,” reads the tweet.
