Panic As 14 Suspects Test Positive For COVID-19 At Kawempe Police Station

14 suspects at Kawempe Police Station have tested positive for COVID-19, Ug Mirror reports.

This comes after a male juvenile tested positive for COVID-19 about 8days ago at the same station.

Our sources at Kawempe Police have revealed that the suspected cases have been evacuated and will be put on medication.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango has confirmed this development.

“The 14 suspects positive with coronavirus have been charged and Prisons have been allowed to remand them.”

It is worth noting that after the infection, Kawempe police station was sealed off and over 200 police families put under 14day quarantine.
