A team of Flying Squad operatives on Wednesday apprehended a notorious motorcycle thief based in Soroti City.
The suspect has been identified as Okiror Cosmas John.
This was after his accomplice Otwa Isaac was arrested from Lira.
Another accomplice identified as Okello Joshua is still at large. They were found in possession of suspected stolen motorcycles from Gulu.
The motorcycles are of registration numbers; UES 402G and UFB 550H while others yet to be recovered include; UFA 268M, UEY 937T, UEX 233Y, UEW 215P, UEV 631Q, UEV 483Q, UFA 347E and UAF 104Z.
Upon interrogation, they confirmed that Okiror has been their long time end buyer and dealer.
Police investigations revealed that this is an organized gang operating across Aswa, North Kyoga, East Kyoga and Elgon regions.
