Rubaga Division National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairman, Abdallah Kitatta, has vowed to crash hooligans and anybody who intends to antagonize the party primaries.

His remarks come as the party is holding its primaries for Parliamentary candidates today across the country.

Kitatta who is also the patron of Boda Boda 2010 has officially resumed his duties ever since he was released from prison.

While addressing the media on Thursday, Kitatta vowed that the opposition will be swept out of Kampala.

“Anyone who plans to causes chaos tomorrow with intention of beating our people will face it rough yet some of them are not party members. I wish to inform them to remain home,” said Kitatta.

He further warned that those with ill intention of disorganizing the party elections will regret their actions.

“I am back, all my phone numbers are on. I am in touch with all NRM chairpersons from all levels, including the party mobilizers and my taskforce. All this time that I was quiet, I was trying to reach out to them,” he said.

“I want to assure you even those who have been in the village, I have called them back. So those who think they will come and cause chaos by destroying people’s property, we shall handle you,” he warned.

Kitatta also unveiled a team of 7 people who will help him to monitor today’s NRM primaries in the division.

“I have the team who will be help me to ensure peaceful elections but for me I will be in the field. I will be the commander in chief of Rubaga Division,” he noted.

Among the people who will be facing each other in the NRM primaries Rubaga Division include, Beti Olive Kamya, Denis Tindyebwa, Mpiima Jamilu among others.

Kitatta and his bodyguard, Sowali Ngobi were convicted by the General Court Martial and were supposed to serve a 10-year jail term but were released on August 7 after the Appellant Court Martial reduced the ten-year jail term to just three years.

Kitatta was last year found guilty of unlawful possession of an SMG rifle and a pistol without a valid firearm licence and unlawful possession of 30 and 20 rounds of ammunition for SMG rifles and pistol before he was sentenced together with his bodyguard to 10 years and six months’ imprisonment but the duo appealed against the sentence.
