NRM Elections in Bukono constituency, Namutumba district have been suspended after an agent of Minister Persis Namuganza was killed.

Minister Namuganza’s agent was murdered today morning by yet to be identified people.

“I have suspended elections in Bukono constituency because Hon. Persis Namuganza’s agent was killed this morning. We have sent police to arrest anyone connected to that killing,” said the NRM EC boss Dr Tanga Odoi.

Namuganza is the current member of parliament for Bukono constituency and she is liking forward to retaining the seat on the NRM ticket.

Namuganza recently lost to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga in the NRM CEC elections for the 2nd National Vice Chairperson.
