6 UNRA Staff Test Positive For COVID-19

Today afternoon, UNRA has confirmed that 6 of their staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement released today afternoon, 5 of the confirmed cases were from their headquarters in Nakawa and the other was from UNRA office in Masindi.

“The confirmed cases were from 494 cases taken on 19th and 20th August 2020 for which results for 222 samples gave been received,” the statement reads.

The statement further states that UNRA have rolled out the respective incident management protocol to provide support to all member of their staff.

UNRA joins NBS, Toyota, Uganda Police, NTV, Eagles Holdings, BBS, Vision group, among many other entities whose staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

Uganda currently has 2,263 confirmed cases, 1,226 recoveries and 20 deaths.
