COVID-19 Deaths Rise To 19, 72 Cases Confirmed in Kampala

This afternoon, Ministry of Health has released a statement that indicates that Uganda has recorded 3 more COVID-19 deaths bringing the number from 16 to 19 deaths.

According to the statement, all the deceased were residents of Kampala; two were males aged 31 and 41 and the other was a female aged 57.

They all passed on after admission in different private facilities in Kampala.

Uganda has also recorded 94 new COVID-19 cases with 51 alerts being from Kampala, 2 from Buvuma and Wakiso.

33 of the confirmed cases were contacts of previously confirmed cases, 21 from Kampala, 6 from Nakaseke, 3 from Wakiso, 2 from Adjumani and 1 from Koboko.

From the samples tested, Kampala recorded 72 positive cases from both alerts and from previously confirmed cases.

Uganda now has 1,750 confirmed cases, 19 deaths and 1,194 recoveries.
