Uganda’s COVID-19 Death Toll Rises To 12

The Ministry Of Health has confirmed another death of COVID19 in the country bringing the total number of deaths to 12.

There is a rising cause for alarm as Uganda has registered 12 deaths in less than a month after going four months without any such incidents since the beginning of the lockdown.

The deceased is a 65-year-old Ugandan male who was a resident of the Kampala Metropolitan area.

He was admitted at Nsambya Hospital and later transferred to China-Uganda Friendshiphispital in Naguru after developing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

Kampala Metropolitan Area has been put on high alert with the latest death making it 10 in the area alone out of twelve in the country total.

The ministry has urged Ugandans to respect the SOPs put in place to avoid a major regression in the situation.

Uganda currently has registered 1,385 cases, 12 deaths and 1,142 recoveries.
