Miss Curvy CEO To Contest for Manafwa MP Seat

As the country gears up for the 2021general elections, a number of artistes, celebrities and other people in the entertainment industry have expressed interest to join politics.

The latest is the Chief Executive Officer of Miss Curvy, Annie Mungoma who has picked nomination papers to contest for Woman MP of Manafwa on NRM ticket.

Mungoma will be taking on Mary Goretti Kitutu, the energy minister who also belongs to the same political party.

According to Mungoma, this year’s edition of the Miss Curvy beauty pageant may not take place due to the COVID-19 situation.

She however said that if the situation normalises, the pageant will resume even if she is the member of parliament.

“Many people knew me because of this pageant therefore, I won’t stop and I will carry-on with it event if I am elected as a member of parliament,” she said.

Mungoma is also the president of the Shooting Range Association in Uganda and a Motor Rally driver.

Among other artist that have joined politics include, Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleon, Ronald Mayinja, Comedian Muyonjo Hussein alias Swengere, actor Aloysious Matovu, Bosmic Otim an artiste also picked nomination papers with the NRM party.
