Winne Kiiza Dumps FDC For ANT

Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament and former leader of opposition in parliamnet, Winnie Kizza, has this morning been unveiled as one of Alliance For National Transformation newest members. 

Ms Winnie Kizza becomes the fourth MP to join the General Mugisha Muntu led Alliance For National Transformation. 

Ms Winnie, last month, confirmed thatshe won’t be contesting for MP again after representig Kasese for 15 years and was lauded by Gen. Muntu saying Ms Kiiza represents the very best of political leadership.

“I have talked and talked against overstaying in power, I will not be different if I sought office this time. I know the people of Kasese loved me and wanted me to continue being their Member of Parliament. It’s a job I loved doing because I knew I had the backing of my people who had their support. I want to thank you for the support you’ve given me,” said Winnie Kizza after she made it known she was quitting parliament. 

Winnie is the 4th MP to join ANT after former FDC man Kassiano Wadri, Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality) and Paul Mwiru (Jinja East).
