Two NRM MPs Cross To Bobi Wine’s NUP

The National Unity Platform (NUP) has on today unveiled five members of parliament as members of the new political party.

These include,Hon. John Baptiste Nambeshe (Bududa), Hon. Nsamba John Patrick (Kassanda), Hon. Latif Ssebagala (Kawempe North), Hon. Zaake Francis (Mityana) and Hon. Kalwanga.

John Baptist Nambeshe and Kassanda legislator Patrick Nsamba have been members of the ruling party NRM.


While addressing the media  at the party offices in Kamwokya, party leader,Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine welcomed the members into the party. 

“Today, it’s been an absolute pleasure to officially receive five Members of Parliament who have joined the National Unity Platform, bringing the total to six, including myself,”he said.  

He also expressed his gratitude to receive Mayors Ali Mulyanyama (Makindye), Emmanuel Serunjoji Owedembe (Kawempe) and Balimwezo Ronald (Nakawa) in addition to  councillors at different levels are also joining the National Unity Platform.


Kyagulanyi said,during the ‘tojikwatako’ campaign, Nambeshe stood on the side of the people of Uganda even when Museveni proved powerful. Kyagulanyi urged members of the National Unity Platform not to doubt anyone who crosses to join them because as a generation.
