Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has reportedly made clear his intent to terminate his contract with Egyptian Premier League side Misr-el-Makassa as he has gone close to seven months without pay.
Aucho joined the Egyptian side in July 2019, as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Indian side Churchill Brother.
A brilliant display during the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament held in the country also further increased his stock.
However, while the combative midfielder has continued to undertake training with the club normally, Australian based intermediary Stevenson Kakooza confirmed that the player has filed for termination of his contract due to unpaid arrears which amount to UGX 300M (approx. USD 81,000).
Aucho’s Ugandan agent Kayemba Solomon ‘Solo’ also confirmed the ploy to have his client walk away from his contract, stating that they have officially tabled the player’s complaint with the club .
In the related development, after close to four seasons in Kampala, left back Aggrey Madoi has returned to Eastern Uganda, at BUL Football Club.
This follows an agreement of the roving left-back with the club’s management for a two-year tenure (renewable upon satisfactory performance).
After plying his trade at Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos, Madoi had spells at Vipers Sports Club, Police and lately Wakiso Giants.
He returns to the native home area at BUL Football Club and is expected to be a key pillar for Arthur Kyesmira’s side alongside Richard Matovu.
Madoi is the direct replacement for former left-back Allan Tarsis Munaaba who had since retired from the beautiful game.
