1 Mins read

Yesterday during the budget address, President Museveni said of Uganda’s total 679 coronavirus total caseload, some samples were falsely declared positive whereas not.

Museveni blamed the ‘lack of seriousness’ at Makerere University’s laboratory, saying it is manned by just three lab technicians who were probably tired.

Museveni said the ministry of Health will announce further details about the matter. He further said as he said on Tuesday, that he will not beg Ugandans not to die of coronavirus. The president said if Ugandans continue to take the pandemic as a joke they will soon see dead bodies like in other countries.

However, authorities at Makerere University laboratory have denied faking Covid-19 results and promised to make a formal response to President Museveni accusations today.
