2 Cases Of COVID – 19 Detected, Uganda Now Stands At 116

Today, the ministry of Health ha confirmed 2 new COVID-19 from 1,913 samples of truck drivers.

The new cases are;

A 40-year-old Kenyan truck driver who arrived via Malaba and a 30-year-old Ugandan truck driver who arrived via Mirama Hills point of entry

Fortunately, all 652 community samples have tested negative for COVID-19.

This brings a total confirmed case of COVID-19 in Uganda to 116.

In total, samples that were tested today are 2,565

The total cumulative number for samples tested to-date are 56,767

The Total number of truck drivers who have returned to their respective countries are now 31

Uganda has 28 active cases and 55 have so far been discharged
