The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in mainland China has risen anew to 636, according to the country’s National Health Commission on Friday.

Out of the total 73 new deaths reported, 69 cases were reported from Hubei province, the epicentre of the outbreak, including 64 in the provincial capital Wuhan.

It should be remembered that there are over 70 Ugandan Students currently living uncomfortably in Wuhan, and they are asking the government to evacuate them.

This leaves African students, especially Ugandan students in Wuhan totally frightened, and in fear of losing their lives to the extent that they are crying out to Government to have them evacuated as soon as possible, as seen from recent tweets and the hashtag #EvacuateUgandansInWuhan.

Although this is a sad time, the government of Uganda through its spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo have advised Ugandans in Wuhan to remain calm as the Chinese government has promised to handle the situation.

Despite the continuous push by some members of the online Fraternity to have our brothers and sister evacuated from Wuhan, some people are really worried that if any evacuated Student happens to have the virus, Uganda will be wiped clean in no minute. Here are some of the Tweets;

From the look of things, Ugandans are even more scared of the Coronavirus than even the over 40 Ugandan students in Wuhan.
