Our Biggest Mistake Was to Deny Bobi Wine FDC Ticket — Besigye

1 Mins read

The former FDC party president Dr. Kizza Besigye has expressed his deep regret for Forum for Democratic Change’s action of denying Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi wine party ticket in the Kyadondo East by-election.

“FDC’s biggest mistake was to deny Bobi Wine the party card in the Kyadondo East by-election but I wasn’t in the administration,” he said.

Besigye made the remarks while appearing on Salt TV discussing the current political trends in the country.

He said politics keep on changing and he may not participate in the 2021 presidential election.

“Politics keeps on changing, today you have support and tomorrow people will support another person. The struggle keeps on changing from one person to another,” he said.

He noted that many people have been blaming him for not giving Bobi Wine a chance but he was not in charge.

“When I was campaigning for FDC candidate, I could see a lot of people point on their hands showing me a watch, I didn’t know what was taking place and when asked the meaning on the sign, they told me that the vote is for Bobi,” he said.

He said he is ready to support anybody who is ready to join the struggle with a motive of liberating Ugandans from what he described as the state of captivity.

“But let me make this clear, I have no any problem supporting Hon Bobi Wine in 2021,”he said.
