1 Mins read

Amnesia night club located along Jinja Road is set to close shop after over eight years of bringing the Party to many revelers and party lovers and is expected to turn into a katogo restaurant.

The bar that has been open five days a week offering a fresh experience and bringing more to the Kampala night life with a variety of themes will this Thursday 1 August, 2019 be throwing it’s last party.

With effect from Friday 2nd August 2019, Club Amnesia will be no more!

“We have realised that in the nightclub business, everyone is drinking from near their homes – mostly in open spaces. Closed bars are phasing out. We have therefore, taken the step to close Club Amnesia with effect from Friday 2nd August 2019 with the party on Thursday 1st August 2019 being our last,” said Dr. Innocent Nahabwe, the Co-Founder & Managing Director of Club Amnesia.

In a statement issued by Dr. Innocent Nahabwe, the bar owners also thanked billionaire Sudhir Ruparelia for being a great landlord.

“We are also thankful to our landlord, Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia and his dad Sudhir Ruparelia who have been good hosts. I hope we have been good tenants. We will remain at the building as a restaurant that serves the true Uganda dish- Katogo 24/7,” Dr. Nahabwe said.
