Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga Urges Men To Respect Their Wives

1 Mins read

The Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom, Charles Peter Mayiga has urged men to always respect and protect the dignity of their wives before the public.

“There are men I hear these days who disrespect their wives before the public, utter all the filthy statements about their wives and yet they should have acted exemplary to society, it’s so absurd,” he noted.

Mayiga stated that any man with a sound mind should fight hard to protect the image of his wife before the public than shaming her.

“Don’t allow even a friend to disrespect your wife, if you are a man of dignity and integrity you cannot allow such to happen to your wife,” he said.

He noted that the reason why most girls and women fear to marry in this generation, is   because of men who go in different public places and discuss issues about their wives which is unprofessional.

He also urged women to take full responsibility of their homes more especially promoting cleanliness and the organization of their houses.

“A good family is not about giving birth to many children; some women do not know how to cook. A right woman should observe all what is required of her,” he noted.

He noted that the only way to overcome all the challenges in marriage is to device possible legal means to solve the matter than running to the public.

“And the difference between success and failing is really the difference between those who are able to take decisions when it matters and those who fail to take decisions,” he said.

He noted that the general life is not a smooth ride and the married couple should expect challenges in their marriages.

“That is how life is all about, you will get challenges in your faces and it depends on how you handle the challenges,” he noted.
