KABULETA ARREST: Besigye Ready To Testify Against President Museveni

Former Forum for Democratic Change Party president Dr Kizza Besigye said he is ready to stand as a witness in case where Joseph Kabuleta is charged of offensive communication against the person of the president.

Over the weekend, police confirmed the arrest of veteran journalist cum-pastor, Joseph Kabuleta who went missing on Friday last week at Forest Mall at Lugogo.

According to police, Kabuleta has ridiculed President Museveni on social media referring to him as a thief and gambler.

Police noted that preliminary information Kabuleta posted grossly offensive messages, under “Joseph Kabuleta Weekly Rant Returns referring to the fountain of honour as a “Gambler, Thief and Liar”.

Section 25 of the Computer Misuse Act, 2011 criminalises such acts of communication.

Last week Joseph Kabuleta posted a message on Facebook titled “Mafia Empire and the transition (Joseph Kabuleta’s Weekly Rant Returns) where he questioned whether the first son, Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the ‘don’ of the new era.

In the same post, Kabuleta alleged that Muhoozi is being positioned to be the next president but he has nothing to offer expect being his father’s son.

According to the police spokesperson, detectives are still carrying out investigation on Kabuleta’s conduct in a bid to get more information regarding the offence.

The issue upon landing into Besigye’s ears, he confirmed his readiness  to testify against the president Museveni

“Am a ready witness for Joseph Kabuleta. if his case comes to the court of law,” He noted.

Besigye rallied all the other witness to prepare and get ready to testify against president Museveni.
