Soroti District Boss Powers Up Fortebet Teso Give Back Campaign

Soroti district LC5 vice chairperson, Simon Peter Edoru made the ‘Fortebet to Teso’ give back a hard-to-forget event.

In a bid to celebrate Uganda Cranes 2-0 victory against DR Congo in its first group match in a second successive AFCON final qualification, Fortebet unveiled a campaign in which lots of goodies are being given back to Ugandans across the country.

Over the weekend, it was Soroti, Kumi and Bukedea’s turn to enjoy these AFCON-Fortebet ripe fruits.

First, Fortebet, handed over 100 mama kits to Soroti regional referral hospital in a bid to help fight against deaths at birth.

In full presence of Edoru, Fortebet regional manager, Sam Ibaale handed over the mama kits that contained everything that the hospital needs to attend to a mother in labour.

This was in addition to trash bins, brushes and detergent for ensuring that the wards are kept clean.

“This is a clear sign that Fortebet is not only here to make money but also giving back to the community. On behalf of the district, we thank you so much. Please do not only stop at the labour ward but also other wards need your support,” Edori said, before he personally distributed the kits to the mothers.

Epaku Alice Grace, the hospital in-charge maternity ward called upon other companies working within Soroti to emulate what Fortebet did.

From the hospital, Edoru led Fortebet team to Unity Premier School to donate balls. He also personally gave out Fortebet reflector jackets to tens of bodaboda riders at the main bodaboda stage.

At its branches, Fortebet gave out a number of phones, T-shirts, caps, wristbands among others
