Uganda Must Quickly Find Kidnappers — Trump

1 Mins read

The kidnap of the American tourist, Kimberley Sue and Ugandan tour guide who were rescued on Sunday by security forces with help of the neighbouring country Democratic Republic of Congo has taken a new twist after US President Donald Trump stated that Uganda must find the kidnappers otherwise people won’t feel safe moving there.

Through his twitter account, the 45th president of the United State of America Donald J Trump on Monday tasked Uganda to find the kidnappers and bring them to Justice.

“Uganda must find the kidnappers of the American Tourist and guide before people will feel safe in going there. Bring them to justice openly and quickly!” Trump twitted

Meanwhile earlier today President Museveni said they shall deal with the criminals and assured the country and tourists that Uganda is safe and they shall continue to improve the security in the parks.

However, the Executive Director, Uganda Media Centre, Ofwono Opondo while addressing journalists on Monday responded to Trump stating that there are more gun deaths in the US than kidnaps in Uganda but many people still flock to the US seeking for refuge.

He said Uganda continues to strengthen its security, eliminate criminality with impunity and continue providing protection to visitors and the citizens at large.
