Minister Nantaba Survives Assassination

The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Hon Ida Nantaba has survived an attempted assassination in Kayunga.

The incident took place on Sunday 24th March 2019 in Kayunga while on his way to Kampala.

Unknown assailants who were traveling on a sport bike opened fire on Nantaba’s official car before she informed security operatives.

She survived and her guard gunned down one assailant

Uganda Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga confirmed the incident and promised to issue a full statement.

The Kayunga legislator was suspicious of the men on the motorbike before she called the Nagalama Police station which alerted other stations.

The Police is now investigating the incident as the hunt for the other gunman continues.

The gunmen were traveling on a motorbike REG NO UDL 822A.

This is not the first time for the high-profile person to be attacked by unknown men in the same manner by gunmen travelling using motorcycle.

Among the high-profile figure that were murder in the same style include sheik Maj Kigunddu, sheik Hassan Bayiga, State Prosecutor Joan Kagezi, Ibrahim Abiriga, Felix Kaweesi and the recent one being Muhammad Kirumira.
