Minister Frank Tumwebaze Graduates With Masters In Public Health

Minister of Information Technology and Communications, Frank Tumwebaze has today graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Health.

Frank Tumwebaze is a Ugandan Educator and Politician.

He is the current Minister of Information Technology and Communications in the cabinet of Uganda and he was appointed to that position on 6th June 2016.

On Tuesday 15th, Frank Tumwebaze was among the 13350 students who are graduating at one of the oldest institutions of learning in Uganda, Makerere university

“Thank you, all friends, for your congratulatory messages on my graduation with an MPH. It was a tall order for me given the tight schedules. I thank God, family, my lecturers &supervisors (Prof Sengooba & Mr Mayora) & fellow students for all the support. Always proud of #GreatMakerere,” Tweeted Tumwebaze.

A total of 368 students have attained first class degrees at this 69th graduation.

Academic Registrar Alfred Masikye told the press that the ceremony will make sure that the total of 13350 students graduate in various disciplines ranging from Phds, Masters, Degrees, diploma respectively and graduands with walk away with their certificates after graduation.

While speaking to the media, Frank Tumwebaze said seeking for knowledge should be a continuous process as it improves on the level of understanding and how someone sees things.

He further urged everyone who is capable to go back to school and acquire more skills in different disciplines as it will be of beneficiary to them at some point.

“I am glad that I could pursue Master of arts   in Public Health to particularly help me understand the scope and the whole spectrum of health and some factors that explains the disease that burden majority in our communities and as well as seeking of the possible solutions to such problems,” he explained.

This is the 69th graduation ceremony of Makerere university which is going to last for four days starting from today and it will be held at the Main campus at Makerere Hill.
