Congolese National Arrested Over Murder

Police has arrested a Congolese national identified as Malimali Ndihoma Sisco Mashal Justine on suspicion of murdering two Congolese girls.

The Suspect who is currently at Old Kampala Police has confessed and police is yet to establish the motive.

The Suspect was arrested by AVIPOL at Entebbe airport while trying to flee the country.

He was arrested on suspicion that he might have killed the two girls whose bodies were found decomposing in an apartment at Kakeeka Zone in Rubaga division on January 6th 2019.

Police added that at about 2pm on January 6th a one Kakeeka local council leader called and informed the area police to respond to an incident of a person suspected to have died inside a locked house.

The area commander who identified them as Hulda Najib and another one only identified as Safi, both had been reported missing from Entebbe on January 4th 2019 Vide Entebbe police CRB/2019

Malimali confessed to the murder though he claimed it was a kidnap.

Police further stated that investigations reveal that Najib got another boyfriend which might have caused the murder of Najib in revenge for betraying their love.

Police has opened up a file Vide CRB 030/2019 and the suspect is currently detained at Old Kampala Police station as more investigations to establish the real motive are ongoing.
