Three Suspects Arrested Over Murder Of Medical Doctor

Police in Iganga district on Wednesday 19th December 2018 arrested three suspects in connection to the brutal murder of Dr Ibrahim Gwaluka who was killed in cold blood last week.

According to the locals Dr Ibrahim and wife were approaching their home in Iganga unknown assassins who were hiding a tree killed Dr Ibrahim Gwaluka on spot the wife bended down since they were aiming at Dr Ibrahim hence able to survive the accident.

Dr Ibrahim Gwaluka was in charge of Kigandaalo health centre IV in Mayuge district as well as well the treasurer Uganda Medical Association, Eastern region

Police said the suspects were arrested from different districts in the region, guns used in the murder were also recovered.

The suspects are currently detained in different police station in the area.

“We want to thank members of the public for availing us with vital information that led to the arrest of the suspects,” Chief political commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye said.

He also said that police will work around the clock to see that the criminals are brought to book.

Mr James Mubi, the Police Spokesperson, Busoga East region said that Dr Ibrahim was murdered while traveling home with his wife but she survived

He also said that the perpetrators who killed Dr Ibrahim did not take anything from him.
