Over 8000 Students Graduate At Kyambogo University

Kyambogo university has sent out a total of 8173 graudands in to the working world during the 15th graduation ceremony that was held at the main campus, in Kyambogo Kampala.

Out of 8173 of the total number of graudands 4446 are males and 3757 are females who have received certificates, diplomas and degrees in different disciplines.

University Chancellor prof John Sebuwufu thanked vice Chancellor Prof Eli Katunguka for stabilising the university in the short time he has been at the institution and promised to support him where need arises.

While addressing the graduands at the main campus in Kyambogo, Prof Eli Katunguka told the graduands that they will be going home with their certificates and transcripts.

“This time round, graudands will go with their academic transcripts, this is the first group to get their transcripts on the graduation day,” Prof. Katunguka said

“Your parents have invested a lot in bringing you to this level, so don’t cut your life short either deliberately or through reckless lifestyles,” he said

He urged all the graduands to set their goals and also emphasized them to continue dreaming and aiming big.

Prof. Katunguka also said that the graduands who university demands will be allowed to graduate and clear their dues later.

Out of 8173 the university has registered 300 first class degrees this academic year.

Proud Katunguka said that the number of graudands have increased up from 7078 in 2017 and 6479 in 2016
