President Museveni receives Sudanese envoy

President Yoweri Museveni has received and held talks with Sudan’s special envoy, Dr. Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed and members of his delegation, who paid him a courtesy call yesterday at State House, Entebbe.

The President and his visitor discussed a number of issues and chief among which was how best to promote the return of peace and security to neighbouring South Sudan through building confidence and trust measures between the South Sudanese leaders, President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar.

They also discussed matters concerning the diversification and promotion of trade and investment between Uganda and Sudan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sam Kuteesa, attended the meeting.
