Former workers of Security Plus Company have been apprehended as investigations into illegal possession of fire arms and robbery continue.
They are Owomugisha Proto, Mwesiga Gordon and Muhindo Moris.
The suspects are being detained at the Central Police Station, Mbarara.
The Regional Police Spokesperson Rwizi Samson Kasasira confirmed the incident.
They were found in possession of stolen property and a rifle no UG PSO 320088405981 that was earlier stolen from a Tiger Security Company guard, Marvin Aijjuka.
Aijjuka is also being detained at CPS, Isingiro over possible connivance with the three suspects who stole the gun.
It is also alleged that same gun was used in a murder in Kikagate last week.
The said gun has been recovered and is at CPS, Mbarara.
Other suspected stolen property such as solar battery, flat screen TV size16, hoofers, Itel mobile phone and cash worth 1,000,000/= have also been recovered.
The property is suspected to have been robbed from Rosette Kuhaabwa, a businesswoman in Mitoojo parish, Kashare Sub County in Mbarara on August 30.
