Joshua Mujunga, a cameraman with NBS TV today faced the wrath of security officers after he was beaten to near death as he covered Free Bobi Wine protest in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb.
He is currently admitted at Kampala Hospital.
“Joshua Mujunga, our very own branded video journalist has been beaten by security operatives while covering a riot that started in Kamwokya,” reads NBS TV’s tweet.
Recently, security forces have been so brutal to journalists covering the Free Bobi Wine protests.
This website understands that a few weeks ago, Reuters Photojournalist James Akena was badly beaten and arrested by UPDF officers.
Other beaten journalists on that day were from The Observer, NTV, NBS TV and many other media houses.
