President Yoweri Museveni has asked the people of Nyenga Division in particular and Buikwe District in general to always vote for the Party rather than individuals to avoid regrets in the future.
The President was today addressing thousands of NRM supporters while campaigning for the Movement’s flag bearer for Njeru mayoral seat at Buwagajjo Health Center 3 in Nyenga Division in Central Region’s Buikwe District. The flag bearer is Mr. Yassin Kyazze.
He emphasized that it is important for the people to always look at the strength of the Party rather than individuals who, on their own, cannot do much for their people.
“Look at the Party because it has the capacity to solve people’s problems. In the 1960s, I was young and strong but when Amin came I ran to Tanzania until I gained strength to fight him,” he added.
He noted that the NRM government has managed to keep peace in the country adding that such a task is not an individual’s work but for all Ugandans.
He, therefore, reassured the people of Buikwe that the NRM government is committed to service delivery in their area and Uganda in general.
He pointed out the major areas of focus such as peace, development, education and other infrastructure such as roads and electricity, among others, that the government is committed to extending to Buikwe.
On health, the President said that the Government will stock and equip their health centers adding that he will inspect all those facilities in the near future.
He called on the people of Buikwe District to embrace the Government-engineered wealth creation programmes so that they are able to address the challenges poised by household poverty.
He asked the electorate in Buikwe to vote for Mr. Yasin Kyazze who is the official flag bearer in the Njeru mayoral race.
The Vice Chairman of NRM Party in Eastern Region, Capt. Michael Mukula called on the Movement supporters to always choose leaders that will represent people’s issues and who will work to bring services near to the people.
Njeru is among 12 Municipalities that came into operation on July this year. Others are Kira, Nansana, Makindye – Ssabagabo, Kisoro, Mityana, Kitgum, Ibanda, Koboko, Mubende, Kumi and Lugazi.
