Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club lifted 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup.
KCCA beat Vipers 0-1 in a well-attended final played at the Emokori play ground in Bukedea district on Saturday.
Uganda Hippos Captain Julius Poloto scored the lone strike on the day in the 42nd minute.
KCCA endured the last 20 minutes of the game with a man less after their star player Sadam Ibrahim Juma was sent off for two bookable offences.
The Chief Guest Hon. Hamson Obua, flanked by the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo handed over gold medals to the winning team and the Cup to KCCA FC Captain Timothy Denis Awany amidst celebrations.
Obua represented Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga.
This was the 10th Uganda Cup for KCCA FC who also had a clean sweep of the individual accolades given out.
The KCCA FC trio-Charles Lukwago, Patrick Kaddu and Allan Okello were the best goalkeeper, top scorer (6 goals) and Most Valuable Player (MVP) respectively.
This year’s edition was exclusively sponsored by Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited who were represented at the final by a strong delegation led by Head of Marketing and Communications Daniel Ogong.
Winners will receive 30M, runners up 20M, semi-finalists 10M each and Quarterfinalists 5M each.
