Uganda Communications Commission has suspended the licences of 23 Radio Stations.

Uganda Communications Commission says these Radio stations have been promoting witchcraft by offering airtime and running adverts of witchdoctors

“Proprietors of broadcasting stations ready @UCC_Official for a hearing on aiding & promoting witchcraft. These’re; Radio Kitara, Kiira FM, Victoria FM, Hits FM, Bambo FM, Dana FM, Gold FM, Ssebo FM, Eye FM & RFM. They’ve all received shutdown orders to stop broadcasting immediately,” reads the tweet on UCC Timeline.

For some years now, UCC has been arguing proprietors of radio stations to observe the minimum broadcasting standards as stipulated in the UCC Act of 2013
