Uganda Police has arrested a man who is suspected to have hit the late Teddy Seezi Cheeye with a Motorcycle in Nakawa Kampala
“We have arrested the hit and run motorcyclist on suspicion of murdering Teddy Seezi Cheeye at Nakawa,” reads a statement on Kampala Metropolitan Facebook page.
The suspect has been identified as Roger Kirya aged 32 years.
The statement further reads that Kirya was found hiding in Mbuya. Nakawa Division
According to his daughter, Cheeye was knocked by a boda boda cyclist ridding UEH 773R as he was taking a walk in Nakawa.
Kirya is being detained at Jinja Road Police Station and has been charged under file TAR 78/2018.
This website understands that Cheeye was in March 01, 2018 hit by a speeding Boba Boda and he died on spot.
He was journalist and worked as director of economic monitoring in the Internal Security Organization
