Case Clinic Boss Breaks Silence On His Driver’s Arrest, Dismisses Travel Ban Rumours

Dr. A. K. Sebbaale the Chief Executive Officer, Case Hospital has finally spoken out on the arrest of his driver Muzamir Mawa, who was arrested by Military Police in connection with the death of Accountant Francis Ekalungar.

“It is disheartening to have heard that my driver Muzamir Mawa has been implicated in the death of our dear colleague Mr. Francis Ekalungar, whose family and everybody at the Hospital is aware has been very dear to me,” reads a statement signed by Dr. Sebbaale and posted on Case Clinic Facebook Page.

In the statement, Dr. Sebbaale further said that his relationship with Muzamir Mawa was purely and he didn’t know much about him.

“Muzamir Mawa has been a driver allocated to me by the hospital as an organization and likewise our relationship has been merely professional nothing more and now that he has been implicated in anyway in this investigation and if it turns out to be true, I and the entire team at Case Hospital agree that he should face the law.”

He further trashed the rumours that have been circulating on social media that he had been stopped from flying out of the country due to the ongoing investigations.

“Finally, my attention has been drawn to some news items that I have been barred from travelling abroad due to the ongoing investigations.

“I would like to state categorically that there has not been such instructions brought to my attention and therefore must be treated as unsubstantiated, false and fabricated news intended to damage my reputation.

“I will be going about my business as usual, nonetheless, as any law abiding citizen, be informed that I have been and I am more than willing to continue supporting the investigation process until its logical conclusion.”

This website understands that Francis Ekaluhar, an employee of Case Clinic was kidnapped & later murdered on Tuesday 2nd January, 2018. His body was discovered by Uganda Police in Kajansi on 3rd January, 2018
